Rotational molding is to achieve the purpose of plasticization by heating the rotomolding mold to achieve the heat transfer effect of the powder. There are two ways to add rotomolding:
1, direct fire
Straight fire as the name suggests is to directly use the flame to heat the mold, this way is a bit of high heat transfer efficiency, the flame directly touches the mold surface, as long as the reasonable control of the distance between the flame and the mold, adjust the color of the flame, control the flame The direction and size will generally receive better heating effects. For rotomolding tanks, products such as kayaks generally use direct fire. However, this heating method also has disadvantages, the fire source is exposed, the temperature is not easy to control, and the like.
2, indirect heating
There are several ways to complete the heating process of the mold by using air or hydraulic oil or electricity:
(1) forced air convection heating in the heating chamber
This is the most common heating method that performs heat transfer to the mold by heating the air in the heating chamber.
(2) Heating the mold using a liquid system.
(3) Electric heating system. The advantage of electric heating is that it is clean and airless, heating is fast and the heating temperature can be precisely controlled. It is an ideal heating method, but this method is still under the current technology.
(4) Infrared heating system
The infrared heating component conducts heat radiation directly to the surface of the mold. This method can effectively project thermal energy, but it will receive the influence of the projection angle.
